Digital Marketing Strategist

Join Our Team as Digital Marketing Startegist!

 

iLEAD et al is on the hunt for a highly skilled and motivated Digital Marketing Strategist who can formulate winning strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, deeply understands current trends, and excels at developing and executing effective strategies for our clients. This role focuses on working closely with internal and external teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and optimisation of our clients’ digital marketing efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

For Our Clients:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to achieve clients’ business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Define and segment target audiences, creating detailed customer personas to guide content and campaign strategies.
  • Set measurable goals and KPIs for digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyse client campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise results.
  • Develop and provide strategic insights and strategies to both existing clients for the purpose of retention and client growth, as well as new sales that the business is working on.
  • The Digital Strategist will need to collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development team members on new client proposals where requested.
  • The Digital Strategist will be responsible for ensuring that all strategy projects are costed out correctly, including all aspects and ensuring all projects remain in scope and profitable.
  • Perform GAP analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired performance, developing actionable plans to close identified gaps.
  • Create detailed user journey maps to understand the customer experience,
    identifying touchpoints and optimising user interactions across digital channels.
  • Brainstorm and develop innovative marketing concepts and campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the content team to develop engaging and relevant content for digital channels. Ensure content is optimised for SEO and aligned with clients’ brand messaging.
  • Utilise web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and measure digital marketing performance.

For Our Agency (Internal):

  • Monitor and analyse current and emerging digital marketing trends.
  • The Digital Strategist needs to contribute to keeping all internal staff updated on industry trends.
  • Identify potential opportunities and threats within the digital landscape.
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis to understand competitors’ strategies and identify areas where the agency can differentiate itself.
  • Drive the development of case studies to showcase successful digital marketing campaigns, using them as tools for future client projects and internal learning.
  • Identify and pursue relevant industry awards to enhance brand credibility for our agency. Drive award submissions and manage the application process.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the digital marketing team, encouraging experimentation with new tools, technologies, and strategies to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Stay informed about the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Present at online and/or in-person events, discussing relevant topics.

Who We're Looking For:

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Strategist or similar role (minimum 3 years).
• The candidate must be well-spoken, with a proven ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated experience in public speaking, with the ability to confidently present and engage with diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including Google Ads, YouTube, SEO, and content marketing.
• Experience with marketing and web analytics platforms to understand and interpret data (e.g., Google Analytics, SE Ranking).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or similar, is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience in AI is highly valued.

• Experience in omnichannel marketing is essential.
